Description:

Trapezoid-shaped soundbox made of black painted wood, decorated with three gilt roses with foliage; as is typical for this instrument, the lower part is covered with parchment. The bridge rests on four feet and holds treble-chord gut strings (originally there were 19) attached to wooden pegs.
