Description:

The earrings are made of wire, granulation, filigree and feature a pair of cast, confronted birds, possibly partridges. This central part is surrounded by figures of eight and heart shapes. Earrings of this type are a development of the sixth to seventh century Byzantine crescent shaped earrings with confronted birds.
