Description:

This earthenware dish was covered with an opaque white slip before receiving its ornamentation. Three sets of five or – once – four short brush strokes executed in green glaze highlight the edge of the dish. The centre shows an as yet unread manganese inscription and a green glaze dot. The dish was influenced by both Abbasid and Chinese luxury wares.
