Description:

This weighing stone, which is fitted with an iron suspension ring, has a kufic inscription incised around its bulbous body. It reads "Al-Hasan Ibn Hatim…" with the rest of the inscription remaining undeciphered. The original context in which such a stone weight might have been used, remains unknown.
