وصف:

القطعة عبارة عن جرة مصنوعة من الخزف الرقيق ذات لون أبيض قشدي (كريمي). للجرة مقبضان، وقد زخرفت بعدة أساليب مثل النقش والثقب والحفر بالسكين. الأشكال الزخزفية التي تظهر على هذه الجرة هي مزيج من الأشكال الهندسية والأشكال النباتية، وهي من الأشكال الزخرفية التي كانت شائعة في الفن الإسلامي.

جرَّة خزفية ذات مقبضين، أجاصية الشكل، من تل حسبان، مُزيَّنة عبر اعتماد أساليب مختلفة، مثل الحزّ، وإحداث الثقوب، والحكّ بالسكين. والإطار الزخرفي مُؤلَّف من أنماط هندسية، وأخرى نباتية.

أرّخت القطعة عن طريق الطبقات الأثرية، وعن طريق مقارنتها بجرار مماثلة، إذ أن الفخار العباسي يمتاز باللون القشدي.

تم اقتناء القطعة عن طريق الحفرية الأثرية التي جرت في موقع تل حسبان عام 1973.

Aida Naghawy is an archaeologist and the Director of Jordan Archaeological Museum. She studied archaeology at the University of Jordan where she gained her MA. She was affiliated to the Jordanian Department of Antiquities from 1974 as a curator of Jordan Archaeological Museum. In 1981 she became inspector of Jerash antiquities and co-ordinator of the Jerash International Rehabilitation project. She was also head of the archaeological awareness section at the Department of Antiquities. Aida is the author of numerous publications on Islamic coins. She has carried out excavation work in Jerash and is the founder of Jerash Archaeological Museum and the Islamic Museum of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

Ghada Al-Yousef is an archaeologist and the Director of the Friends of Archaeology Society in Jordan. She studied at the University of Jordan from where she received her BA and MA in Archaeology. In 1993 she undertook a course in the restoration and conservation of ancient mosaics held by the Italian government in Jordan. She was affiliated to the Jordanian Department of Antiquities from 1994 to 1997 as a trainee in the restoration of ancient mosaics and the production of modern mosaics at Madaba Mosaic School. In 1995 she opened her own gallery and workshop for producing mosaics. She was appointed as the Director of the Friends of Archaeology Society in 2001. She has carried out excavation work in Amman and Madaba.
