ربما تكون قد صنعت في سورية.
القطعة عبارة عن مطرة فخارية يطلق عليها أيضاً اسم زمزمية لأنها كانت تملأ من قبل الحجاج بمياه زمزم في مكة المكرمة. هذا النوع من المطرات لونه قشدي (كريمي). تصنع هذه المطرات من جزأين كل منهما له قالب، ويتم بعد ذلك وصلهما معاً، ومن ثم يضاف العنق والمقبضان. وزوّدت هذه المطرة بزخرفة على شكل ضفيرة لإخفاء مكان اتصال جزئين معاً. تظهر على مثل هذه المطرات المصنوعة بالقالب زخارف ناتئة تمثل شعارات أو رنوك كبار الموظفين المرتبطين عادة بالبلاط الرسمي الأيوبي أو المملوكي. تبدو على هذه المطرة زهرة زنبق محاطة من كل جانب بسيف، وهي تمثل شعار العديد من السلاطين والأمراء في ذلك الوقت.
View Short Descriptionمَطَرة أو زمزمية حاج خزفية، أخذت اسمها الثاني من بئر زمزم المُقدَّس في مكة. إنها مصنوعة من قرصين مقولبين موصولين، في التصميم زنبقة في الوسط، مع سيف في كل جانب، وهو شعار عائد إلى عدد من سلاطين العصر وأمرائه.
أرّخت القطعة من خلال أسلوبها الفني، وكذلك من خلال مقارنتها بقطع أخرى مشابهة موجودة في متاحف أخرى مثل قارورة الحج المعروضة في متحف دمشق الوطني.

Aida Naghawy is an archaeologist and the Director of Jordan Archaeological Museum. She studied archaeology at the University of Jordan where she gained her MA. She was affiliated to the Jordanian Department of Antiquities from 1974 as a curator of Jordan Archaeological Museum. In 1981 she became inspector of Jerash antiquities and co-ordinator of the Jerash International Rehabilitation project. She was also head of the archaeological awareness section at the Department of Antiquities. Aida is the author of numerous publications on Islamic coins. She has carried out excavation work in Jerash and is the founder of Jerash Archaeological Museum and the Islamic Museum of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

Ghada Al-Yousef is an archaeologist and the Director of the Friends of Archaeology Society in Jordan. She studied at the University of Jordan from where she received her BA and MA in Archaeology. In 1993 she undertook a course in the restoration and conservation of ancient mosaics held by the Italian government in Jordan. She was affiliated to the Jordanian Department of Antiquities from 1994 to 1997 as a trainee in the restoration of ancient mosaics and the production of modern mosaics at Madaba Mosaic School. In 1995 she opened her own gallery and workshop for producing mosaics. She was appointed as the Director of the Friends of Archaeology Society in 2001.
