صنع هذا الإبريق كامل الأجزاء من صفائح من البرونز، وهو على شكل جمل على ظهره مقعد. يرتكز الإبريق على قاعدة ثلاثية الشكل كانت تقف على مجمرة لتسخين ما تحتويه. يوجد بين الإبريق والقاعدة مجمرة لتسخين ما يحتويه الإبريق من سائل. يصَب السائل من خلال فم الجمل الذي يستخدم كفوهة للإبريق. ويوجد له غطاء متصل بالمقبض.
يُعتبر هذا الإبريق قطعة ذات أهمية ليس فقط بسبب ندرة استخدام المعادن في الصناعة في الفترة الأموية، وإنما أيضاً لأنه اتخذ شكل الجمل الذي يُعتبر ذا أهمية بحد ذاته. فقد كان الجمل حيواناً مهماً عند العرب الذين اعتمدوا عليه بشكل كلي للتنقل في الصحراء. وقبل مئات السنين، مرت قافلة من 120000 جمل عبر الصحراء التي تربط المدن الشرقية من الجزيرة العربية ومدينة القدس.
إبريق برونزي مُرصَّص من أم الوليد، يمثل جملاً على ظهره حمل، أو هودج. فم الجمل هو المزراب. ربما كانت قاعدة ثلاثية حاملة للإبريق، فوق المنقل لتسخين المحتوى.
أرّخت القطعة من خلال ربطها بالطبقات الأثرية، فقد وجد فيها كسر وأوعية فخارية أموية.
تم اقتناء القطعة من قبل المتحف عن طريق الحفريات الأثرية التي جرت في موقع أم الوليد عام 1992. هذا الموقع يقع على بُعد 15 كم جنوب شرق مدينة مادبا، حيث تم الكشف في حفريات أثرية سابقة عن قصر ومسجد، وكذلك وجد بعض القطع المعدنية والأوعية الخزفية.
مكان صنع القطعة غير معروف، إلا أنه تم العثور على القطعة في موقع أم الوليد بالقرب من مادبا.

Aida Naghawy is an archaeologist and the Director of Jordan Archaeological Museum. She studied archaeology at the University of Jordan where she gained her MA. She was affiliated to the Jordanian Department of Antiquities from 1974 as a curator of Jordan Archaeological Museum. In 1981 she became inspector of Jerash antiquities and co-ordinator of the Jerash International Rehabilitation project. She was also head of the archaeological awareness section at the Department of Antiquities. Aida is the author of numerous publications on Islamic coins. She has carried out excavation work in Jerash and is the founder of Jerash Archaeological Museum and the Islamic Museum of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

Ghada Al-Yousef is an archaeologist and the Director of the Friends of Archaeology Society in Jordan. She studied at the University of Jordan from where she received her BA and MA in Archaeology. In 1993 she undertook a course in the restoration and conservation of ancient mosaics held by the Italian government in Jordan. She was affiliated to the Jordanian Department of Antiquities from 1994 to 1997 as a trainee in the restoration of ancient mosaics and the production of modern mosaics at Madaba Mosaic School. In 1995 she opened her own gallery and workshop for producing mosaics. She was appointed as the Director of the Friends of Archaeology Society in 2001.
