Ottoman admiration for Western art, architecture and urbanism led to the birth of a new taste in the Tulip Period (1718–30). Increasingly during the following decades, Baroque and Rococo features were introduced to the Ottoman style, thus the Empire, Neo-Classical and Eclectic styles became quite common in the 19th century.
